We've had so much fun doing out little baby's room! We have had different steps since we are both working and Blaine's doing school and so we are definitely busy but we are also in the nesting mode nowadays.
1. We needed to do the wiring for the lighting. Our house was only built in 2006 and everything is great. But in the 3 other bedrooms besides the master, there was no wiring set up for a light fixture! No recessed lights, no dome, nothing. There's a SWITCH...that is connected to absolutely nothing haha. So Blaine being the handyman that he is had to drill and wire and connect stuff to hang a dome light. It has a dimmer and we absolute love how it turned out. The dimming light is perfect for late night feedings, the full brightness is a daylight bright color and it just turned out great!
2. Paint the ceiling white. It was dirty and we had made markings on it from putting in the lighting and so we started fresh with the ceiling and called it good.
3. We painted the walls blue! We bought some decor that matched the bedding and we then color matched the paint and we were good to go. It turned out to be such a great color and we are so excited about it.
4. Put together crib and move in furniture. We have had everything since Christmas but just had it stored in our loft and we finally got to move everything in! This is not necessarily the final layout of the room because we are still going to get a glider chair somewhere in there and we might move stuff around but for now, it looks so great to have everything in there. We'll wait for the bedding after baby shower presents and I have a few ideas do accessorize the room and we'll be good to go in no time!
* Details I want in the room still:
baby name in wooden letters: navy blue
picture frames for baby pictures/family pics in navy blue and the fun green in the bedding
Temple picture
Christ picture
display shelves
etc....
